About Me

My name is Sara Simms, I'm an electronic music producer, DJ, turntablist and musician. I'm here to share my love of music and technology with you. A true DJ at heart; my life’s path was forever altered the first time I saw a DMC battle. Early on in my career I was awarded a Vestax “Future DJ” sponsorship.

I've competed in DJ battles and rocked crowds across North America and Europe, and have been featured DJ QBert's "Skratch University". I also have a degree in audio engineering and was lucky to be able to learn cut vinyl lacquers at Lacquer Channel Mastering back in the 'good old days'.

I've shared the stage with DJ QBert and DMC world champions DJ Rafik, DJ 8-Ball, Bahamadia and Roxanne Shante, and judged the Canadian DMC Championships. I work together with Analogue Solutions, Genelec, Pioneer and Rane.

Nowdays I'm really into new music tech, controllerism and synths. I like to fuse together dubstep, minimal tech, glitch, hip-hop and reggae to create original music and sets.

My new musical project is called “Future Prophecies”, and I invite you to watch and listen as my destiny continues to unfold…
